  • During the assessment phase of treatment, the therapist will collect information about past treatment and learn more about barriers to treatment. You will collaborate on creating a plan that fits your needs. Having a healthy therapeutic alliance is instrumental in achieving positive outcomes. The first few sessions are also a time to assess the quality between you and the therapist. Openly discussing the rapport and compatibility is important in the first few sessions. Your therapist can help you find a better fit if there are barriers to building rapport.

  • Time of treatment can vary by person. However, within the first two sessions you will learn more about your condition and aid in the development of a treatment plan which will outline the average length of treatment. Many clients report noticing subtle signs that treatment is working in as little as 2-3 sessions, these include feeling comfortable with the therapist, having clarity around diagnosis and treatment, and identifying areas for change. However, reduction in clinical symptoms and ability to implement coping skills takes an average of at least 8-12 sessions.

  • I specialize in providing a holistic approach to treatment that incorporates evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused therapy; while incorporating practices including mindfulness, narrative therapy, and somatic work into treatment.

  • You will receive an email from CARE Therapy and will work directly with the therapist to confirm a time for a consultation.

  • CARE Therapy does not directly accept insurance. However, we can help you identify if you have out of network benefits and will process reimbursement directly with your insurance making the process seamless for you. Cost, scheduling and other administrative questions can be answered during our complimentary 15-minute consultation.
